Resolution: The quality of the image - pixels per inch (ppi) or pixel dimensions (such as 1024 by 768 pixels)
Resolution for web image: Ideal screen image resolution (detail an image holds) is 72 pixels per inch. If an image is less than 72dpi (72 dots per inch), it will appear pixelated.
Resolution for printing: The generally accepted value is 300 pixels/inch. Printing an image at a resolution of 300 pixels/inch compacts the pixels in close enough together to keep everything looking sharp. In fact, 300 is usually a bit more than you need.
My Portfolio images:

overall good but there are additional images as discussed with you during a 1:1 today, please add these images and also "clean up the portfolio images" as there are distracting artefacts (dust spots, etc) in a number of the images..
